McGill department of surgery
The Department of Surgery at McGill University has a proud tradition dating back to 1843, and a history rich with interesting characters, major achievements, and significant contributions to Canadian surgery. Currently, there are 225 full-time faculty, 30 part-time faculty, 60 adjunct faculty, and 30 research scientists on campus and at six fully affiliated teaching hospitals and two partially affiliated teaching hospitals.
Three core missions are sought ubiquitously in the Department: excellent clinical care, outstanding research productivity, and the delivery of state of the art educational programs.
